In 2024, FIND launched a peer-learning journey titled “Evolving Practices of International Cooperation,” dedicated to reimagining traditional philanthropic models and exploring new forms of international cooperation tailored for the 21st century.
The peer-learning programme had three objectives:
- Share experiences about our work with our partners in majority-world countries, including sharing best practices and “brilliant failures” in international development, as well as provide opportunities to constructively challenge assumptions and beliefs underlying our work.
- Be at the forefront of trends in international cooperation, including participating in engaging conversations about emerging horizontal funding mechanisms and exploring novel models or new ways of working to better align funding strategies from the Global North and South.
- Strengthen relationships with representatives from other participating foundations, including opportunities to build stronger connections with one another and lay the groundwork for future collaborations beyond the duration of the peer learning journey.
